Update

It's been a while since I have written anything on Chloé's blog, so here goes. The last couple of months have been quite busy. We had a very nice Christmas. It was a special one; Chloé's first Christmas! She gave her parents the most wonderful gift of all: sleep! She started sleeping better around Christmas. She still wakes up once in the middle of the night and once very early in the morning for milk, but we are very happy that the day's of waking up every hour are over (for now, anyways.) We have read a couple of books on chidrens sleep and I have a feeling that we still have a lot of work ahead of us in terms of sleep!
The new year started of a little less well. Chloé had a bit of a cold and was quite stuffed up. We had to put drops in her nose to clean out her sinuses a few times a day. She hates that. Then she got roseole, or the 3 day fever as they call it here. She had a low grade fever for 2 days and then a high fever the third. It was horrible. She had a temperature of over 39°. She was burning up and it was midnight. We called the hospital and they told us to give her something to bring down the fever (luckily we had some on hand,) that helped and she was finally able to sleep. The following days she was very tired and cranky. Then a rash covered her little body, a reaction to the fever. She is feeling better now. It was the first time she was sick since she was born so we (especially me) were freaking out a little. Now that she has had roseole she is immune for life so that's the good news.
Other than that she has become very talkative. She has also started to lift herself up on her hands and knees. She can't go anywhere yet but she will be crawling very soon!
We are starting to look into tickets for our trip in May. Chloé and I will be there to visit, unfortunatly Alexis won't be able to make it.
That's all I can think of right now...
